Since the similarities between Prosperent and the Amazon Associates program are closely related since they both do CPA banners on products but looking more closely at both programs you can see a big difference in both programs with regards to payout, the amount of products and the pros and cons of both systems.
Prosperent vs. Amazon Associates
Prosperent:
Pro:
-Has more then 50 million products thru it’s TCPA ad system
-Higher payouts on products then the base affiliate rates that are given with Amazon
- NET 30 vs. NET 90 with Amazon
-The System is 100% Automated. You don’t have to go looking for the right products for your site the Prosperent team has already made an agreement with different large scale affiliate networks to get the best payment for the volume of traffic they send to there sites
Cons:
-System just came out for public in beta some of the kinks in the system are being worked on now
-Not a trusted brand like Amazon. Affiliates make money thru the brand as it’s a trusted online retailer.
-Doesn’t give you the ability to have static ads on your site. Only SERP traffic will the banners show.
Amazon Associates:
Pro:
-Brand is trusted, reliable brand built in the 90′s. Has over 250,000 books online to sell. Plus hardgoods, MP3′s and have sellers agreements with major retailers around the world to give special offers on brand name goods.
-Not limited to retail products but can sell books and music thru it’s affiliate program.
-You can built your own affiliate website thru the program
-Have many different types of widgets and banners that you can add
Cons:
-NET 90. You must wait 2 months for your payout
-Google SERPs might be effected by Amazon banners
-Low Commission. Capped Commission. 3%-10% on most goods. Nothing to write home about per item.
Conclusion: Amazon Associates has a bigger name and brand thus more trusted by online customers but the low commissions and payouts that take 90 days are nothing great! You can sell lots of different items on Amazon Associates but find yourself waiting 2 months for a low payout check. Most items I’ve sold thru the system are only 3%-5% of the total. Not super great compared to Indie affiliates that offer 20%-8% estimate on goods thru Prosperent. Plus NET 30 is way better so you can spend more on your advertising of your site and get that money back quicker.
